Paper Jam
When a paper jam occurs, one of the following error codes appears on the LCD of the scanner's
operator panel.

J1:3C
J1:3D
J1:3E
Refer to When a Paper Jam Occurs (page 159) to remove jammed documents.
If paper jams occur frequently, take measures according to Paper Jams/Pick Errors Occur Frequently
(page 190) .

Paper Jam (Pick Roller Error)
When a paper jam occurs in the ADF, the following error code appears on the LCD of the scanner's
operator panel.

Take the following measures.
● If this error occurs, check if the document meets the requirements described in Documents for
Scanning (page 59) .
● If documents remain in the ADF, pull the documents out of the ADF.
● If documents remain in the scanner, refer to When a Paper Jam Occurs (page 159) to remove the
documents.
● Refer to Replacing the Pick Roller (page 145) to check if the pick rollers are installed correctly.
