Scanning a Document Longer Than A3 Size
Depending on the resolution setting or the image scanning application, scannable document sizes may
differ.
For details, refer to the manual or help of the image scanning application.

Load the document on the hopper.
For information on how to load documents, refer to
How to Load Documents (page 50)
ATTENTION
To scan documents longer than A3 size, pull out the hopper extension and stacker extension
all the way.
Also, make sure not to pull up the paper stop.

In the scanner driver, configure the scan settings to scan the paper size of the long page.

ATTENTION
Long Page Scanning supports scanning of documents with a length up to 5588 mm (220 in.) in
the feeding direction.
Note that the resolution must be set to the following dpi value depending on the document
size.
●
A length that exceeds Double Letter (432 mm) but does not exceed 863 mm
400 dpi or less
●
A length that exceeds 863 mm but does not exceed 3175 mm
300 dpi or less
●
A length that exceeds 3175 mm but does not exceed 5588 mm
200 dpi or less
