Turn the scanner off then back on.

Background Switching Mechanism Error
When a background switching mechanism error occurs, one of the following error codes appears
on the LCD of the scanner's operator panel.
F4:C2 Background switching mechanism error (ADF Front)
F4:C3 Background switching mechanism error (ADF Back)
Take the following measures.
● If documents remain in the scanner, refer to When a Paper Jam Occurs (page 159) to remove the
documents.
● Make sure that sufficient power is supplied. Do not use an extension cable.
● Use the power cable and USB cable that are supplied.
● Refer to Daily Care (page 121) to clean the inside of the ADF.
● Turn the scanner off then back on.

Fan Error
When a fan error occurs, the following error code appears on the LCD of the scanner's operator

Motor Circuit Error
When a motor circuit error occurs, one of the following error codes appears on the LCD of the

H1:80 Motor circuit error (Feed 1 motor)
H1:8A Motor circuit error (Feed 2 motor)
H1:8B Motor circuit error (EXIT motor)
