◆ Conditions of Acceptability

◆ Installing Standard Configuration Devices
Refer to Standard Configuration Devices on page 236 for details on the standard configuration devices.
◆ Main Circuit Terminal Wiring
Yaskawa recommends using closed-loop crimp terminals on all converter models. To maintain UL/cUL or CSA approval,
UL Listed or CSA Certified closed-loop crimp terminals are specifically required when wiring the converter main circuit
terminals on models 2A0030 to 2A0130, 4A0030 to 4A0630. Use only the tools recommended by the terminal
manufacturer for crimping. Refer to
Closed-Loop Crimp Terminal Recommendations on page 251 for closed-loop crimp
terminal recommendations. The wire gauges listed in the following tables are Yaskawa recommendations. Refer to local
codes for proper wire gauge selections.
The external power supply shall be a CSA certified or cUL Listed Class 2 power source only or equivalent. Refer to
Table D.8 for details.
◆ CSA for Industrial Control Equipment
The D1000 is CSA certified as Industrial Control Equipment Class 3211.
Specifically, the D1000 is certified to: CAN/CSA C22.2 No.0-10 and CAN/CSA C22.2 No.14-13.

◆ CSA for Elevator Equipment
The D1000 is tested and complies with CSA B44.1-11/ASME A17.5-2011 standard.
This standard is used by CSA to evaluate the D1000 to Class 2411 (Elevator Equipment).
