A.5.4 RESOLVE THE ERROR “PLEASE ENTER VALID STREAM ID“?
Enter a name for the stream in the Stream ID field in TriCaster’s Record/Stream tab (any name
will suffice).
A.5.5 RECORD MY FLASH STREAM WITHOUT CONNECTING TO A SERVER “?
Attempting to record a Flash live stream without anything in the address window causes an
error, causing recording to fail. To write to disk without a publishing point, type the following in
the Location field:
rtmp://localhost/live.
Then, type anything into the Stream ID (don't leave it blank).
A.5.6 RESOLVE OTHER PUSH STREAMING ISSUES?
If you are pushing your stream, make sure there are no ‘packet shaper’ units on the network.
Traffic shaping (also known as packet shaping) is an attempt to control computer network traffic
in order to optimize or guarantee performance, low latency, and/or bandwidth by delaying
packets. However it can cause issues for pushed video streams.
