Note: Profile names must begin with "Flash" (character case is important), and
may be followed by a brief name or description (compare existing profiles for
examples). If the file is not named correctly then it will not be recognized as a
Flash Media profile, and will be listed as a Windows Media Encoder profile.
5. When finished, close FMLE and the DOS prompt window (NewTekRTME)
6. Configure your TriCaster to launch with the aspect ratio setting that corresponds to the
profile you just made. You should now be able to select and stream through your
custom profile under the Record & Stream tab under Live Production.
Note: It’s possible to create profiles that are not well suited for typical situations, and
which may cause TriCaster’s output to falter or fail. Test, test, test …
A.5.2 STREAM FLASH IN VP6 OR H.264?
An error may occur when you try to push a stream in either VP6 or H.264, resulting in the
following error message:
Flash Media Encoder Error
Flash Media Encoder terminated prematurely, please try again.
Try the following steps:
1. Exit the Live Production desktop, and return to the Admin screen.
2. In the Windows Start menu, launch Flash Media Live Encoder (this initializes Flash and
creates a new profile).
3. Reboot the system.
4. Return to the Live Production desktop, and push your Flash stream.
