The 4:2:2 sampling and high fidelity invoked by the Studio Profile make it especially well-suited
to critical chroma-key applications. These files retain more color information than either Regular
Profile or standard DV files. Support for High Profile MPEG-2 files by various applications, while
widespread, is not universal, however. Thus it would be prudent to test file compatibility with
your favourite third-party programs before making extensive use of the Studio Profile.
6.10.2 LIVE STREAMING
When you need to stream your TriCaster output to the Internet, NewTek has made this process
as simple as possible. In addition to the standard Windows Media Streaming Profiles, TriCaster
allows you to stream using Windows Media 11 and VC1 presets, as well as Flash™ (including
H.264).
The Stream to Internet panel is neighbor to Record to Disk in the Record/Stream
panel. At the simplest level, with TriCaster connected to the Internet, all you
really need to do (to establish an outgoing a/v stream) is click the Stream Output
button.
Enabling TriCaster’s outbound stream immediately provides you with the IP (Internet Protocol)
address of your computer on the network. This information will be provided as ‘punctuated’
numeric value in the Location display field (Figure 102).

You can provide any clients or streaming providers with this mms: (Microsoft Media Server)
address. Entering it into the Open URL dialog of Windows Media Player (opened from the File
menu) on client systems connected to the Internet directs WMP to show the TriCaster stream.
