System Setup Program

The Setup program is used to configure your Allegro Field PC. Most of
the parameters you configure through the Setup program are only in
effect when you are using the DOS operating system. The same
parameters are set up independently in Windows CE using the Control
Panel.

The parameters you edit with Setup include:

- System Date and Time
- Processing Speed
- Keyboard Configuration
- Display Configuration
- Auto-Panning (On or Off)
- Power Management

Setup is resident on the system ROM (A:) and can be executed from
FileScout or directly from DOS. You can also execute Setup during the
POST (Power On Self Test) by pressing the key before DOS boots
up.

Executing Setup from FileScout
From the FileScout main menu, press the Utility key. The Utility
menu appears. Press <3> to select the Setup option. The Setup main
menu screen is displayed.

Executing Setup from DOS

Setup

The Setup main menu screen is displayed.

If you receive an error message after issuing this command, check to
ensure that drive A: is referenced in your path statement in the
AUTOEXEC.BAT file. If it is not referenced, you will need to type
“A:Setup” at the DOS prompt.
