Setting up an Internet Connection
The procedure for accessing the Internet depends on your specific
requirements and network environment. For example, you may wish to
use a phone line to dial into an Internet Service Provider (ISP). In this
case you will need a PC card modem and an established ISP account. Or
you may wish to connect Allegro directly to your office internet, in
which case you need an ethernet PC card and assistance from your
network administrator. These are just a few of the possibilities.
Regardless of how you decide to make the connection, the following
information will assist you in getting Allegro configured properly.
If you plan to use a dialup connection for Internet access, you need to
configure a new connection as follows:
1) Install and configure a PC card modem according to the
manufacturer’s instructions.
2) Turn on the Allegro and go to Start|Programs|Communication |Remote
Networking.
