Terminal Emulation Program

The Terminal Emulation program is used to test communication
protocol settings and hardware connections between the Allegro and
another device such as a bar code wand, GPS receiver or another
computer.

Connect the device to the Allegro and set up the communication
parameters.

Press Util from FileScout to bring up the Utilities menu. Select 1
“Terminal” to execute the Terminal Emulation program. The following
screen appears:

Communication Parameters
In the heading at the top of the screen the default settings for the
communication port, baud rate, data bits, parity, and stop bit are shown.
The communication port, baud rate, and parity can be adjusted if
necessary through the Params function. The data bits (8) and stop
bit (1) cannot be adjusted.
