Mark:
The insert key is used to mark and unmark a file. To
mark a file, move the highlight bar to the desired filename and press
. A mark character (>) is placed to the left of the filename. To
unmark a file, move the highlight bar to the desired marked file and
press . The mark sign is removed from the left of the filename.
Delete:
The delete key deletes (erases) a file, a group of
files, or a subfolder. To delete a file, highlight the file and press .
To delete a group of files, first mark all the files to be removed and press. Before you can delete a subfolder, you must delete all of the files
in it, then highlight the subfolder and press .
When the key is pressed, you are asked to confirm the deletion of
the file(s) or subfolder. You must type in
you want to proceed with the deletion. Any other keystroke aborts the
file deletion.
❖ Note: You cannot delete files from the ROM drive (A). If you try, it first
appears as if the files were deleted, but after the next DOS operation the files
reappear in the directory.
The escape key
program is at a prompt awaiting your input. Escape also exits the
FileScout program. If you are exiting the program, you are asked to
confirm that you want to exit. You must press
