Reading and Writing Program Data from a CV-5001 Series Controller

Loading program data from a connected CV-5001 Series controller

Select [Transfer programs] from the [Simulator] menu.

The [Transfer Programs] menu appears.

Note

This function is not available while collecting data.

Suspend data collection before proceeding with the simulator.

Select the [Read from cv] tab.

Information about [File type] is displayed.

Read From
Select either [Connected CV] (connected CV-5001 Series controller) or [File] (a program file in a folder
within the computer). (See step 2.)

Connected CV
The connection point selected in [Connect to] of [Name/Connected CV] under [Virtual CV Settings] is
displayed.

Read from / Program no.
This specifies which Program No. will be read from the CV-5001 Controller (See steps 2 and 3)

File type
The type of data file that will be transferred with the Program No. By default, [Program Data], [Registered
image], and [Library Data] are on.

Refer to the CV-5001 Series controller "User’s Manual" for more details about a specific item.

Note

As a rule, the file should be read using default values (Program data/Registered image/Library data is on, Global data is off).

Information about [Read to] is displayed.

Virtual CV
The name of the selected Virtual CV is displayed.

Save to target / Save to program number
This specifies the program number and the save location. (See steps 4 and 5)
