The setting file normally created by the simulator is compatible with the CV-5001 Series Second Edition and thus cannot be

loaded onto the CV-5001 Series First Edition or the CV-3001 Series Second Edition III/Second Edition II.

When a new program file is required for the CV-5001 Series First Edition or the CV-3001 Series, use the following procedure to

create the proper file format.

Press the [SCR(S)] or [FNC(F)] key and the [ENTER(E)] key while selecting [Execute] under [Add new]. The model and version

selection dialog appears.

Select the desired model and version, then click [OK]. A new program of the specified model/version is created.

Note

The "ShapeTrax" mode cannot be set even with the setting file of the CV-5001 Series First Edition or CV-3001 Series Second

Edition III/Second Edition II/Second Edition.

In such a case, in an environment other than the 64-bit version of Windows 7, after importing the simulator of the CV-5001 Series

First Edition with the [Simulator Import] function, when [CV-5000/5500 First Edition] is selected for [Simulator Version] on the

[Simulator] screen of [Virtual CV Settings], will enable "Shape Trax" Mode settings. Furthermore, in this state, when you want to

create the setting file for the CV-3001 Series Second Edition III/Second Edition II/Second Edition, the setting file compatible with

each edition can be created by the following procedures.

Creating a new program file that supports CV-3001 Series Second Edition III

Press the [SCR(S)] + [FNC(F)] keys and the [ENTER(E)] key while selecting [Execute] under [Add new].

Creating a new program file that supports CV-3001 Series Second Edition II

Press the [SCR(S)] key and the [ENTER(E)] key while selecting [Execute] under [Add new].

Creating a new program file that supports CV-3001 Series Second Edition

Press the [FNC(F)] key and the [ENTER(E)] key while selecting [Execute] under [Add new].

If Chinese (Traditional or Simplified) is selected for Language in the Global setting, use the compatible Windows OS (See the

table on page 2-5).

Characters will not be displayed correctly if another Windows OS is used.
