The pumps do not
deliver the correct flow
rate (continued). Air bubbles might be trapped in
the pump heads, causing erratic
liquid delivery.
Note: Always degas buffers
before use by stirring them
vigorously under vacuum for
approximately 20 min.
Important: Use a
heavy-wall, side-arm
Erlenmeyer flask, as standard
flasks might implode under
vacuum.
 Inspect the inlet lines, ensure
that the fittings are tight to
prevent air from leaking into
the system.
 Reprime the pumps to
remove air that might be
trapped in the system.
