9. Integrated Excision Tool
The Integrated Excision Tool allows you to cut spots that have been matched in a
MatchSet and placed in an analysis set (see section 7.1, Analysis Sets). First, select
the gels from the MatchSet in the Excision Gel Selection (EGS) Tool that you want to
cut from; then use the Integrated Excision tool to perform the cuts.
PDQuest tries to locate the cutter. If you are not connected to a cutter you will be
prompted to use a simulation.

Finally, you can export the completed (i.e. after cuts are done) cut list to Micromass’s
MassLynx software for mass spectrometry analysis (see the next chapter).
