Windows 2000 Security
Rollup Installation Checking for the Windows 2000 Security Rollup
All systems are required to install the Windows 2000 Security Rollup. You can
check the version currently installed by doing the following:
1. Logon to the system as Administrator.
2. Click Start

Settings
⇒
Control Panel.
3. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
• If Windows 2000 Security Rollup [See Q311401 for more
information] is not listed, close the Add/Remove Programs and
Control Panel windows and continue with Installing Windows 2000
Security Rollup on page 2-30.
• If Windows 2000 Security Rollup Package [See Q311401 for more
information] is in the Currently Installed Programs list, close the
Add/Remove Programs and Control Panel windows and skip to
Internet Explorer 6.0 Installation on page 2-32.
Installing Windows 2000 Security Rollup
1. Logon to the system as Administrator.
2. Insert the ProcessLogix R500.1 Supplemental Software CD into the
CD-ROM drive.
3. Click Start
⇒
Run.
4. Enter this path or Browse to:
>D:(or your CD-ROM drive letter)\win2k_Sec_RollUp\w2ksp2srp1.exe<
TIP
If this is the first time start since the Windows 2000
operating system install, it will be necessary to remove the
default startup screens. Refer to Removing the Default
Startup Screens on page P-4.
