Setting Up a Station With a Redundant Server Pair
Use the following procedure to set up the ProcessLogix Client node to access
data in networked ProcessLogix redundant Server nodes.
1. On SERVERB, click Start

ProcessLogix Server
⇒
Start-Stop ProcessLogix Server to call up the ProcessLogix Server
dialog box. Check that the Server is running and close the dialog box.
OR
2. Repeat Step 1 on SERVERA to check that the ProcessLogix Server is
also running on this node.
3. On the Client, click Start

Programs
⇒
ProcessLogix Client
Software
⇒
Station.
4. Click Cancel at the Unable to connect prompt, if applicable.
5. Click Station
⇒
Connect to call up the Station Connect dialog box.
6. Click New Connection.
7. On the Connection tab, make these entries to have the Station point to
SERVERB (PLX1B):
a. Enter the name or IP address of SERVERB (PLX1B) in the Server
field.
PLX1B is the default Server name assigned by the factory. It is used
for example purposes only.
TIP
You must define the appropriate Station items in Quick
Builder on the Server in order for the Client Station to
connect.
