Type
The port type. The port type will be one of the following:
ˆ 10/100BaseTX - Base ports.
ˆ 1000TX - Uplink 10/100/1000Base-TX twisted pair ports.
ˆ 1000BaseX - Optional fiber optic SFP module.
Link
The status of the link between the port and the end node connected to
the port. The possible values are:
Up - A link exists between the port and the end node.
Down - The port has not established a link with an end node.
Status
The current operating status of the port. The possible values are:
Enabled - The port is able to send and receive Ethernet frames. This is
the default setting for all ports on the switch.
Disabled - The port was manually disabled.
To change a port’s status, see “Enabling and Disabling a Port” on
page 56.
Mode
The port’s speed and duplex mode setting. The possible values are:
Auto - The port is using Auto-Negotiation to set its operating speed and
duplex mode. This is the default setting. The actual operating speed
and duplex mode are displayed in parentheses (for example, “Auto
(100F)” for 100 Mbps full duplex mode).
If the speed and duplex mode were set manually on a port, the Mode
column will be one of the following:
ˆ 10-HDx - 10 Mbps, half-duplex mode
ˆ 100-HDx - 100 Mbps, half-duplex mode
ˆ 10-FDx - 10 Mbps, full-duplex mode
ˆ 100-FDx - 100 Mbps, full-duplex mode
ˆ 1000-FDx - 1000 Mbps, full-duplex mode (uplink ports only)
To change a port’s speed and duplex mode setting, see “Setting a
Port’s Speed and Duplex Mode” on page 57.
Flow Ctrl
Whether flow control is enabled on the port. Flow control is enabled by
default. To disable flow control, refer to “Changing the Flow Control
Setting” on page 59.
3. Type Q to select Quit to previous menu.
