Enabling or Disabling Traps

This procedure enables or disables traps for an SNMP community that
was previously defined. For more information, see “Creating an SNMP
Community” on page 286.

To enable or disable a trap, perform the following procedure:

1. From the bookmarks on the left side of the page, select SNMP.

The SNMP folder expands.

2. From the SNMP folder, select Trap Setting.

The Trap Setting Page is displayed in Figure 83.

3. Type a trap number between 1 and 10 in the Entry number field.

4. Select the SNMP version of the trap by selecting V1 for SNMP version

1 or V2c for SNMP version 2vc in the Version field.

5. Enter an IP address, in the xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx format, in the IP Address

field.

6. Enter a previously defined community name in the Community field.

Then click Add.

A new trap is displayed in the Trap Setting table.
