2. If you want to create a connection directly from one ESX server to another without
using VirtualCenter, select (None) (for instance, if the target is not administered by
a VirtualCenter server).
3. In the Target ESX server IP address or DNS Name field, enter the IP address or
DNS name of the VMware server that will provide a backup for your source virtual
machine. Or, click the Browse button to browse VirtualCenter to locate a server.
The Select ESX server window will appear.
a. In the Select server window, browse through the file tree on the left side to
select a target server. When you select a server, the right pane is populated
with information about the virtual machines, datastores, and networks
associated with that server.
b. To search for a target server, enter all or part of the server name in the
Search for field, then click Search. The servers that meet the search criteria
will appear in the Search Results folder in the left pane.
