Every Ethernet device has a unique MAC (Media Access Control) address. The MAC address
is assigned at the factory and consists of six pairs of hexadecimal characters, for example,
00:A0:C5:00:00:02.
To change your ZyWALL’s static DHCP settings, click LAN, then the Static DHCP tab. The
screen appears as shown (some of the screen’s blank rows are not shown).

4.7 Configuring IP Alias
IP alias allows you to partition a physical network into different logical networks over the
same Ethernet interface. The ZyWALL supports three logical LAN interfaces via its single
physical Ethernet interface with the ZyWALL itself as the gateway for each LAN network.

LABEL DESCRIPTION
# This is the index number of the static IP table entry (row).
MAC Address Type the MAC address (with colons) of a computer on your LAN.
IP Address Type the IP address that you want to assign to the computer on your LAN.
The IP address can be in the same subnet as the LAN IP address or the LAN IP
alias 1 or 2.
Alternatively, click the right mouse button to copy and/or paste the IP address.
Apply Click Apply to save your changes back to the ZyWALL.
Reset Click Reset to begin configuring this screen afresh.
