"Format Design Tools" contains a Data Entry Guide.
1. Make a copy of the form.
2. List each prompt in your format and the data that the operator
should enter at the prompt.
3. Attach a printed sample and give the completed form to the
operator to refer to during data entry.
R e c o r d i n g S t o r e d F o r m a t s
If you plan to use more than one format, you should provide a
format list for the operator. The list lets the operator know which
format to use for an item and the supply size needed. For
