Installing the LSIiBBU07 Unit Directly on a RAID Controller
This section describes how to install the LSIiBBU07 unit directly on the MegaRAID SAS 8888EM2 RAID controller.
Perform the following tasks described in this section, in order, to connect the LSIiBBU07 unit directly to the RAID
controller:
1.
To remove the RAID controller, see

To install the LSIiBBU07 unit on the RAID controller,

CAUTION
Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can damage the LSIiBBU07 unit and the
MegaRAID SAS RAID controller. Make sure that you install the
LSIiBBU07 unit at an ESD-safe workstation that meets the
requirements of EIA-625 (Requirements For Handling Electrostatic
Discharge Sensitive Devices). When you install the LSIiBBU07 unit,
follow the ESD-recommended practices in the latest revision of the
IPC-A-610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies) standard.
