Window
Configuration Leaves the Direct to Disk display and goes back to the configuration menu. Unlike the
Close Direct to Disk function from the File menu, this option does not close the Direct to
Disk display. You can toggle back and forth between windows by clicking the mouse on
the desired window.
Data Destination Area
There are several file-handling options available in the Data Destination area of the
WaveView Direct-to-Disk window.
Data Destination Options & Descriptions
Filename text box Displays base filename; allows user to input filename using keyboard or Browse button.
Base Path text box Displays root path to the directory that contains several subdirectories like \bin ,\PostView,
\ASCII, \sm … . Any such subdirectory contains the data files of the appropriate type.
Browse buttons Allows user to browse and set base filename or root directory.
File Types buton Opens a dialog window to allow user to select appropriate data formats to which binary
data will be converted after the acquisition.
Auto Increment
Filename checkbox
If checked - allows automatic change to the suffix of the Current Filename using the base
Filename and the numbers in the “Start - End” range.
If not checked - Current Filename will be equal to base Filename.
Current Filename is shown at the bottom of the dialog box.
Reset Current Index
button
Resets current index and Current Filename to the “Start Index”
