Copying the user module config settings
If a user module of the matrix system is replaced by another device, the config set-
tings of the device can be copied to the new device.
The new device can be operated immediately.
How to copy the user module config settings:
1. Press the
Ctrl+Num
(default) hotkey to open the on-screen display.
2. Press
F11
to call the Configuration menu.
3. Select the
Console
entry and press
Enter
.
4. Select the active user module to which you want to copy the config settings of an
inactive or disconnected user module. Press
F7
.
5. Select the user module whose settings you want to copy and press
Enter
.
6. Use the arrow keys to select
Yes
and press
Enter
to respond to the prompt for con-
firmation.
7. Press
F2
to save your settings.
Deleting a user module from the matrix system
If the matrix system is not able to detect a target module that already has been con-
nected to the system, the device is considered inactive.
Therefore, you have to manually delete the list entry of the user module you want to
permanently remove from the system.
yes:
User module can be started only when a keyboard is connected.
no:
User module can be started without a keyboard (default).
IMPORTANT:
The user module whose settings are to be copied is deleted from the
system.
ADVICE:
Use the menu’s search function or the sort criteria (see page 9 ff.) to limit
the selection of list entries.
NOTE:
This menu only list user modules that are switched off or disconnected
from the system.
NOTE:
Only inactive user modules can be deleted by the administrator and all
users with the Superuser right.
