5.2.2.1.3 (CONFIG) INTF: PIICX = OC3
This menu is not accessible if a PIIC OC‐3 Single or Multi Mode module, or an STM‐1
Copper module is not installed in a PIIC slot.
PIICX: IntfType ClkSource RxBuffer Mask
OC3-Off ()
Where X designates the optional OC‐3 or STM‐1 interface as being installed in Plug‐In Interface
Card slot 1 (PIIC1) or slot 2 (PIIC2): Use the W X arrow keys to select IntfType, ClkSource,
RxBuffer, or Mask, and then press ENTER.
The state of the PIIC interface is displayed on the bottom line. The first half of this indication
displays the installed state of the module and its SFP – in this example, this display confirms that
the OC‐3 Single or Multi Mode SFP, or the STM‐1 Copper module and accompanying SFP are
installed into the PIIC slot. The second indication displays the operational state of the SFP – this
display example confirms that, while the module SFP is plugged in, the interface is Off (i.e., not in
use).

Use the ST arrow keys to select NONE or OC3/STM‐1and then press ENTER.
Selecting NONE disables the interface. The CONFIG: Intf menu will display the
operational status for that slot as Off. Otherwise, Selecting STM‐1 enables the PIIC
interface for this interface type.
