TYPE 2 - I want to
control the unit using an
Occupancy Sensor.
TYPE 3 - I want to
control the unit using
an External Time Clock.
Control Option CN7A, Time Schedule Clock with Manual On/Off Override, offers
basic on/off control of the unit using a wall-mounted time clock.
Sequence: This option provides a wall-mounted programmable time clock that is wired
to a relay that is connected to the digital input. The time clock provides an integrated
manual on/off switch. When the input is closed, the unit is on; and when the input is
open, the unit is off.
Required Setpoint Settings: Occupancy - Type 3

TYPE 4 - I want to
control the unit using
an internal or Building
Automation Schedule with digital input override.
Control Option Configuration Type 4: This configuration allows for an internal time
clock or building automation schedule to be the primary occupancy control, but then
allows for the DI to override the schedule. This option shows under the required set-
point setting to be configured as CN5 but can be used in conjunction with CN5, CN7D,
or any field-supplied contact closure.
Sequence: This configuration type allows the unit to be started/stopped based on the
time of day schedule either done locally at the controller or through the Building Auto-
mation system. This configuration also allows the DI-3 to be configured to override the
unit schedule. When the DI Override point is set to “On”, the DI point will override the
unit to an Occupied Command whenever the DI is closed. This can be used to provide
an “override on” timer or switch, an occupancy sensor override, or any other connec-
tion to allow the system to be turned on from the space when unit is in the unoccupied
condition. When the DI Override point is set to “Off”, the DI point will override the unit
to an Unoccupied Command whenever the DI is open. This can be used to provide an
“override off” switch to allow the system to be turned off from the space when unit is in
the occupied condition.
Required Setpoint setting:
Occupancy: Type 4
CN Option: CN5
DI Override: [Off] or On
Schedule: [Local] or BAS
TYPE 5 - I want to
control the unit using a
CO
2
Sensor plus Keyed
Hand/Off/Auto Switch.
Control Option CN7B, CO
2
Sensor with Hand/Off/Auto Switch, offers the option of
allowing the unit to be started/stopped automatically based on a CO
2
setpoint, manu-
ally started, and manually stopped.
Sequence: This control option provides a wall-mounted CO
2
sensor that is wired to
AI-6. The option also provides a three-position, keyed manual switch that is wired to
the digital input. The three-position switch provides “auto”, manual on”, and “manual
off” modes. When the switch is in the auto mode, the sensor is powered, the digital
start/stop input is closed, and the system monitors the CO
2
levels. When the level is
above the setpoint, the unit is on. When the level is below the setpoint, the unit is off.
When the switch is in “manual on” mode, the digital input is closed, the sensor is elec-
trically disabled, and the unit is on. When the switch is in the “manual off” mode, the
digital input is open, the sensor is electrically disabled, and the unit is off.
NOTE: If the
sensor fails, the fail safe is for the unit to run.

Control Option CN7D, Occupancy Motion Sensor with Manual On Override, offers
basic on/off control of the unit using a wall-mounted occupancy sensor.
Sequence: This option provides a wall-mounted occupancy switch that is wired to the
digital input. The occupancy switch provides an integrated manual on switch. When the
input is closed, the unit is on; and when the input is open, the unit is off.
