Option AK20 and AK7

7.2 Supply Wiring

Depending on option selection, the unit is wired for either 208-230/3ph/60Hz (Option

AK20) or 460/3ph/60Hz (Option AK7).
FIGURE 15B illustrates the field wiring change required when using 230V supply. If a

unit is ordered with Option AK20 (208-230/60), it is factory-wired for 208V operation.

When connecting to a 230V supply, a field wiring change is required.

a) In the electrical compartment, locate terminal blocks L5 and L6.

b) Disconnect the red wire from Terminal L5.

c) Connect the red wire to Terminal L6.

Wiring Connections for Option AK20 (208-230V):
-- For units ordered with AK20 (208-230V), the factory connects the 14 gauge red wire to Terminal L5.

-- Using 230V supply, locate Terminal L5. Disconnect the 14 gauge red wire from Terminal L5.

Connect the 14 gauge red wire to Terminal L6.

-- Using 208V supply, no change required.

= Distribution block to transformer factory wiring for units ordered with Option AK20.

= When using 230V supply, connect the 14 gauge red wire to Terminal L6.
