Basic Windows Conventions
The Halwin software is written to run in the Windows Operating environment, which means that it follows
the same basic conventions that most Windows applications use.
Halwin Menu Structure
All of the windows, maps and settings can be accessed via the menu shown at the top of the Halwin
software screen. These menus can be accessed in the usual methods with the mouse, or by pressing the
‘Alt’ key on the keyboard together with the letter that is underlined in the menu heading. Example: To
access the Maps menu, press and hold down the ‘Alt’ key while pressing the ‘M’ key on the keyboard.

After opening the maps menu, you can open further sub menus by hitting the underlined letter of any sub
menu that you wish to open. Example: Hitting ‘Alt-M-F-2’ will open a 2D view of Fuel Delivery Map 1.
Managing Your Sub Windows
The Halwin software uses a ‘Multiple Document Interface (MDI)’ that allows many sub windows within the
Halwin main window. To show what windows you have open, you can open the ‘Window’ menu to display
