Install Lift Switch
Mount Bracket
Refer to Figure 157
357. Select one:
401-795D BRKT LIFT SWITCH 3PYP
and two sets:
802-007C HHCS 5/16-18X3/4 GR5
804-009C WASHER LOCK SPRING 5/16 PLT
804-010C WASHER FLAT 5/16 USS PLT
With the L-shaped break forward, mount the switch
bracket
on the threaded blocks at the upper
inside face of the right rear mainframe weldment.
Place a lock washer , then a flat washer , on
each bolt . Bring bolts only to finger tight, allow-
ing for later switch height adjustment.
Mount Switch
Refer to Figure 157 and Figure 158

and two sets:
SCREW SLOTTED RD HD 6-32
803-065C NUT HEX 6-32 SS
804-050C WASHER LOCK #6 SS
804-109C WASHER FLAT #6 SAE PLT
With the whisker pointing right, above upper parallel
arm, and the cable exiting down, mount the
switch
on the rear face of the bracket using
the 6-32 fasteners provided. Bring screws to lightly
snug to allow for later adjustment of switch angle
and lateral position.
Connect Switch
359. Locate the lift switch extension cable routed at
step 257 (page 62).
Connect the black leads of both extension cable and
switch cable.
Connect the extension cable red lead to the switch
green lead.
Coil up excess cable and secure away from moving
parts (including the lift assist link).
