Align and Mate Meters
Align Meters
Refer to Figure 36
Hoppers have a flange
pre-assembled to their base.
The opening of this flange must be centered over the
meter inlet. In particular, the flange must not obstruct the
vent weldments
There are two ways to assess centering:
A. Have an observer view metering centering from
the top of the hopper (not while inside it).
B. When the meter is raised into contact with the
flange, run a finger around the underside of the
flanges, checking for equal distance from the
flange edge to the outside edge of the foam
gasket
.

92. Raise the meter until the foam gasket
the hopper flange
93. Adjust the front-to-rear meter position until the
meter inlet is centered under the hopper opening.
94. Raise the meter another 1 to 2 cm (0.4 to 0.8in), to
partially compress the gasket
and provide an air-
tight seal.
95. Tighten the six bolts
