Install Center Double-Shoot Towers
Refer to Figure 132
Note: The double-shoot (d.s.) tower turret is below
the base tower turret at close-out. It may be
necessary to loosen U-bolts and lower the posi-
tion of the d.s. tower to avoid interference. Leave
the U-bolts only snug for adjustment at step 294.
292. Select two of either:
168-434K 10 OUTLET DOUBLE SHOOT TOWER
168-436K 8 OUTLET DOUBLE SHOOT TOWER
If the towers already have letter labels, choose
towers F and G. Install tower F on base tower B,
and tower G on base tower C.
293. Select sixteen sets (not all shown):
802-091C HHCS 1/2-13X1 1/2 GR5
804-015C WASHER LOCK SPRING 1/2 PLT
803-020C NUT HEX 1/2-13 PLT
With the d.s. tower to the outside, and its turret
below the base turret, secure the d.s. tower mount
angle
to the rear of the base tower’s
mount .
Refer to Figure 133 (depicting a view from beneath the drill)
294. If not already loosened, loosen U-bolts . Adjust
the d.s. tower inlets to point toward drill center.
Adjust the vertical position of the d.s. tower to leave
a gap of 2.5cm (1in) between turrets (to ease
access to cap bolts at later steps). Leave U-bolts
only snug for further adjustment at a later step.
If the towers already have letter labels, skip step 290 and
step 291.
Refer to Figure 131 on page 73
If the towers already have letter labels, skip step 295 and
step 296.
295. Clean dry the d.s tower tubes just above the inlet
bend.
296. Select the:
848-553C DECAL BIN-PRIMARY LINE SHEET
From the decal sheet , select letters F and G.
Apply letter decal F to the left-center d.s. tower
tube.
Apply letter decal G to the right-center d.s. tower tube.
