Install Center Towers
Install Center Base Towers
Refer to Figure 129
287. Select two of either:
168-433K NTA607HD 10 OUTLET TOWER ASY
168-435K NTA607HD 8 OUTLET TOWER ASY
If the towers already have letter labels, choose
towers B and C.
288. Select four sets:
802-082C HHCS 1/2-13X1 3/4 GR5
804-113C WASHER FLAT 1/2 USS HARD PLT
804-015C WASHER LOCK SPRING 1/2 PLT
803-020C NUT HEX 1/2-13 PLT
Install tower B at center left, and tower C at center
right.
Install each tower with the lower mount break to
the rear. Insert a bolt through the end hole of
the break, and the rear circular hole of the
mount
. Loosely secure this bolt with lock
washer and nut .
Insert a second bolt through the tower
break near the bend, and through the curved
slot at the front outside end of the mount .
Loosely secure with flat washer , lock
washer and nut .
Refer to Figure 129 (depicting a view from beneath the drill)
289. Loosen the riser U-bolts . Rotate the tower so that
the inlet is pointing roughly toward implement
center, and the center-line of the inlet is parallel to
the front (riser) face of the tower mount
.
Adjust tower vertical position so inlet opening is just
below the center frame tube. Leave U-bolts only
snug for further adjustment at a later step.
Adjust the base tower mounts so that the
inlets point toward drill center and slightly for-
ward.
Refer to Figure 131
If the towers already have letter labels, skip step 290 and
step 291.
290. Clean dry the tower tubes just above the inlet bend.
291. Select the:
848-553C DECAL BIN-PRIMARY LINE SHEET
From the decal sheet , select letters B and C.
Apply letter decal B to the left-center tower tube.
Apply letter decal C to the right-center tower tube.
