Install Casters
Release Caster Assembly
Refer to Figure 59 (which depicts the U-bolts removed)
The caster assembly is attached to the hopper rack by
four U-bolts
.
135. Attach a hoist or lift to the caster assembly at two or
more points. Use a hoist or lift capable of lifting the
implement center section (see step 139).
136. Loosen the nuts on the U-bolts . Adjust the lift or
hoist so that the U-bolts are not in tension.
137. The assembly is facing in the opposite direction of
that needed for mating to the implement (the lugs
are facing the lift). Lay the assembly on a pallet.
Rotate the pallet or drive the lift/hoist to approach
from the tire side. Re-connect the lift.

138. Select two sets (roll pin not shown):

139. Bring the lower lug holes of the caster assembly
into alignment with the bushings of the rear pull
link weldment .
This may require tipping the caster assembly, or
using a second lifter at the link weldment.
From the outside, insert pins . Fully seat the
break in the pivot pin caps in the square hole of the
outside caster lug.
140. Secure pins with roll pins . No washers are
used on these pins.
141. Select two sets (not shown):

142. Manually adjust the position of the top links .
Use the lift(s) to raise the caster assembly and cen-
ter section until the caster top lugs
are in align-
ment with the top link bushings .
From the outside, insert pins . Fully seat the
break in the pivot pin caps in the square hole of the
outside caster lug.
143. Add a washer to each pin. Secure with roll
pin .
