Number Opener Drops
If the openers were factory-labelled, skip step 335.
Note: The “Drop No.” is not necessarily the same as the
“Row No.” They are the same only for single-hop-
per and single-shoot drills. For double-shoot, num-
bering is interleaved by WSMB to provide an easy-
to-read display on the seed monitor.
335. Consult the Appendix (page 97 through page 102)
for the port mapping for the implement row spacing,
distribution option (single or double-shoot) and
tower set (seed or fertilizer).
Starting at Row R01S (seed), determine the
“Drop No.”. Apply the decal for that drop number on
the opener frame, just rear of the seed tube
.
For a double-shoot drill, then determine the R01F
(fertilizer) “Drop No.”. Apply the decal for that drop
number on the opener frame, just forward of the fer-
tilizer tube
.
Move to the next row. Label all rows in turn.
Number Blockage Sensors
If the sensors were factory-numbered, skip step 336.
Refer to Figure 149
336. Select all (32, 40, 64 or 80) of:
467420701 VIGILENSE BLOCK SENSOR 25MM
Starting with decal “1”, apply a numbered decal to
each sensor. Apply to any available flat surface on
the sensor housing.
Note: Sensors are marked with arrows indicating direc-
tion of material flow (down). This is likely to mean
that the cables exit from the top of the sensor in
use. For legibility, apply the number so that it is up-
right in the sensor’s operating orientation.
