Working With Text

Click the Record button (or press A) to turn on animation recording.

In the Layers list, select “the serengeti” object.

In the Inspector, click the Text tab, then click the Style pane.

Under the Face controls, click the color well.

The Colors window appears, showing the yellow color already selected.

Press End to move the playhead to the end of the project (frame 150).

Click a red or orange color in the Colors window.

Close the Colors window.

Click the Record button (or press A) again to turn off recording.

Play the project.

The text now changes from yellow to red over the duration of 150 frames.

Important:

Be sure to turn off animation recording when you are done, or else any

changes you make later will continue to be recorded.

Applying a Fade In

Now you can apply a Fade In behavior to the text object, and adjust the length of the
fade in. Fading in an object is a common way of drawing viewers’ attention to the
object as it appears.
