NOTE:

Key Manager DataSecure appliance Number of Active Versions Allowed for a Key setting on the Key
and Policy Configuration page. If the key has more active versions than permitted by that setting, the
key restore will fail.
To restore a key with more active versions than the system allows, you must change the Number of
Active Versions Allowed for a Key setting before restoring the backup. You can then reduce the key’s
active versions and return the Number of Active Versions Allowed for a Key to its original value.

Backup Restore Information

The Backup Restore Information section of the Backup and Restore page provides a list of contents in
a given backup file. You can select the individual items to include in the backup.

The following table describes the components of the Internal Backup List section.

Description

Components

Displays the backup name.

Backup Name

Displays a description of the backup file.

Description

Displays the date on which the backup was created.

Archive Date

Click Select All to select all of the items included in the backup. Click Select None to
deselect all of the items.

All Items

Enter the backup password.

Backup Password

Click Restore to restore all of the selected items.

Restore

Click Back to return to the Restore Backup section.

Back

Click Download to download an internal backup file to your browser. The Download
button enables you to move a previously created internal backup file to a secondary
system.

Download

Click Delete to remove the backup from the SKM.

Delete

Internal Backup List

The Internal Backup List section of the Backup and Restore page provides a list of internal backup
files.
