• You can use up to 180 alphanumeric characters for a community name. You cannot use the
following: ", \, ;, :, ,, *, ?, <, >, |, /, ^, &, %, and a space before or after the community
name.

System Group allows you to add, delete or change the SNMP system group information. If the
system group information has been already registered, the registered information is displayed.
To register the system group information, the Extension SNMP check box must be clicked. When
you register the system group information, click Apply. The system group information is as follows:
• Name: Device name of the connected array. The device name can be changed. You can use
up to 180 alphanumeric characters for the device name; the following symbols cannot be
used: ", \, ;, :, ,, *, ?, <, >, |, /, ^, &, %,. You can use a space in the middle of the device
name, but do not use a space before or after the device name.
NOTE:
The device name is required to use SNMP Agent. Be sure to document the device name because
the settings will be cleared when the SVP is replaced.
• Contact: Contact information such as personnel and telephone numbers where you can inquire
about the connected array. Contact information can be changed using Modify mode. You can
use up to 180 alphanumeric characters (ASCII codes) for contact information; the following
symbols cannot be used: ", \, ;, :, ,, *, ?, <, >, |, /, ^, &, and %. You can use a space in the
middle of the contact information, but not before or after the contact information.
NOTE:
A contact name is required to use SNMP Agent. Be sure to document the contact name because
the settings will be cleared when the SVP is replaced.
• Location: Location of the connected array. The device location can be changed using Modify
mode. Follow these requirements: 1) Use up to 180 alphanumeric characters (ASCII codes)
when entering a device location. 2) Spaces can be used with the exception of before and after
the location name. 3) Some symbols cannot be used, such as ", \, ;, :, ,, *, ?, <, >, |, /, ^,
&, and %.
NOTE:
The device location is required to use SNMP Agent. Be sure to document the device location
because the settings will be cleared when the SVP is replaced.

Apply: Implements the settings made on this panel.
This button is active only when you select Modify mode. You must also have the permission to
apply the settings.

Cancel: Cancels the settings made on this panel.
