(27) Torque Level (TRQS) PLC Input Signal

This signal is effective only in push-motion operation.
This signal turns ON when the motor current has reached the load threshold during push-motion operation (= the
actuator is moving inside the positioning band).
Since the current is monitored as level, the ON/OFF status of this signal changes as the current changes.
Speeds at which push-motion operation can be performed vary depending on the motor and lead, so the relevant
parameters must be adjusted accordingly.

• The push speed is set by parameter No. 34, “Push speed.”

The factory setting is determined individually and varies according to the actuator characteristics.
Specify an appropriate speed by considering the material and shape of the work part, etc.

• Set parameter No. 50, “Load output judgment time.”
• Set the threshold using the load current threshold register of the PLC.
• Set the positioning band using the positioning band register of the PLC.

Set a band that extends slightly beyond the last position to account for mechanical variation of the work part.
For details, refer to the operation manual for your controller.

Caution: Even though it appears to be stationary, the actuator continues to push the work part at the

standstill push current determined by the current-limiting value.
Exercise due caution when handling the actuator or surrounding parts/objects in this condition
because the actuator is not stopped.

The position complete signal turns ON here based on a
judgment that the actuator has contacted the work part and
completed the push-motion operation.
