Assemble and Install Intermediate Handrails
1. Insert small intermediate handrail into the large intermediate handrails to create telescoping rails.
Cut 30" off one small intermediate and one large intermediate rail to fit at entrance. Adjust all rails to
the proper length and install to the posts using the 5
th
hole down from the top. Fasten in place using
two (2) 5/16" x 3/4" flange bolts and nuts per each telescoping tube. (See Figure 12I.)

Install Safety Bar Cross Supports
NOTE: Safety cage bars (LDR-5171BE) are used as tie braces in this installation.
1. Install safety bar cross supports from the decking toe board to the rail posts using two (2)
5/16" x 3/4" flange bolts and nuts per each cross bar support. (See Figure 12J.)
