Full-length, full-height card

The full-length, full-height PCIe card configuration must meet the following requirements:

• The ambient temperature (operating) ranges from 10°C (50°F) to 35°C (95°F). See “Specifications” on

page 12.

• The PCIe card to be installed is not a general-purpose computing on graphics processing units (GPGPU).

• The microprocessor has a maximum of 120-watt thermal design power.

• No internal tape drive is installed.

• The following hardware components are installed:

– Heat sink that supports 1U servers (“U” is the unit of measurement for defining the vertical space used

by your server. 1U is equivalent to 4.445 cm or 1.75 inches.)

– Riser card bracket that supports full-length, full-height PCIe card

– Cooling shroud that supports full-length, full-height PCIe card

– Dummy memory modules that are installed in the unoccupied memory slots

AnyFabric slot

Used to install an AnyFabric adapter (also called mezzanine adapter).

DisplayPort connector

Used to attach a high-performance monitor, a direct-drive monitor, or other devices that use a DisplayPort
connector.

Serial connector

Used to attach a device that uses a 9-pin serial connector.

USB 3.0 connectors (2)

Used to attach a device that requires a USB 2.0 or 3.0 connection, such as a keyboard, a mouse, a scanner,
a printer, or a personal digital assistant (PDA).
