7. Install the screws to secure the optical drive cage or the tape drive cage to the chassis.

8. Press the retaining clip in the direction as shown and slide the optical drive dummy to the front of the
server at the same time. Then, remove the optical drive dummy out of the drive cage.
Note: To show the main parts clearly, not all components are illustrated in the following figures.

9. Touch the static-protective package that contains the optical drive to any unpainted surface on the
outside of the server. Then, take the optical drive out of the package.
