6. Remove the screws that secure the interposer cards. Then, gently pull the interposer cards out of the

backplane.

Note: Carefully handle the interposer cards by its edges.

7. Remove the two screws that secure the backplane to the front drive cage. Then, disengage the

backplane from the cage.

8. Touch the static-protective package that contains the new backplane to any unpainted surface on the

outside of the server. Then, remove the new backplane from the package.
