This section describes the protocol and message command set for remote monitor and
control of the CiM-300L Modem. Some of the commands listed in this section apply ony
to options not available on the CiM-300L modem. These commands will not function
with a CiM-300L and should be ignored.
The operational and functional changes of a CiM-300L as opposed to an SDM-300L can
summed up as follows;

!

The CiM-300L uses an RJ45 Ethernet Interface exclusively as a TX/RX data

interface. Subsequently, any references in the CiM-300L Manual to any other
type of data interface (G.703, V.35, EIA-422, etc.) will not apply to the CiM-
300L.

!

The CiM-300L is configured with a CiM IP Module and cannot have the SDM-300L

Overhead card installed. Subsequently, any references in the CiM -300L Manual
to any Overhead card features (Flex Mux, IDR, IBS, Drop & Insert, etc.) will not
apply to the CiM-300L.

!

The CiM-300L clocking functions are hard coded and the user is not able to select

any type of TX or RX clocking options. Subsequently, any references in the CiM-
300L Manual to any TX or RX clocking options (Terrestrial, SCT, RX Satellite,
etc.) will not apply to the CiM-300L.
