This chapter provides an overview of the CiM-300L satellite modem, referred to in this
manual as “the modem.” The CiM-300L Digital Satellite Modem is a high performance,
full duplex modem.
A block diagram is shown in Figure 1-1.

VERVIEW
The CiM-300L utilizes advanced technology and digital signal processing techniques.
This design eliminates circuitry to perform modem signal processing, resulting in higher
reliability. The following lists the unit's features:
