Output Windows

Zilog Developer Studio II – Z8 Encore!

To dock the

Output

window with another window, click and hold the window’s grip bar

and then move the window.

Double-click the window’s grip bar to cause it to become a floating window.

Double-click the floating window’s title bar to change it to a dockable window.

Use the context menu to copy text from or to delete all text in the

Output

window.

Build Output Window

The

Build Output

window holds all text messages generated by the compiler, assembler,

librarian, and linker, including error and warning messages.

Debug Output Window

The

Debug Output

window holds all text messages generated by the debugger while you

are in

Debug

mode. The

Debug Output

window also displays the chip revision identifier

and the Smart Cable firmware version.

Find in Files Output Windows

The two

Find in Files Output

windows display the results of the

Find in Files

command

(available from the

Edit

menu and the

Find

toolbar). The

File in Files 2

window is used

when the

Output to Pane 2

checkbox is selected in the

Find in File

dialog box (see the

Find in Files

section on page 60).
