5. Enter the start address in hexadecimal format in the

Start Address (Hex)

field and

enter the end address in hexadecimal format in the

End Address (Hex)

field. This

address range is used to fill memory with the specified value.

6. Click

OK

to fill the selected memory.

Saving to a File

Use this procedure to save memory specified by an address range to a binary, hexadeci-
mal, or text file.

Perform the following steps to save memory to a file:

1. Select the memory space in the

Space

drop-down list.

2. Right-click in the

Memory

window list box to display the context menu.

3. Select

Save to File

. The

Save to File

dialog box is displayed.

4. In the

File Name

field, enter the path and name of the file you want to save the mem-

ory to or click the

Browse

button (

) to search for a file or directory.

5. To specify the address range of memory to save to the specified file, enter the start

address in hexadecimal format in the

Start Address (Hex)

field and enter the end

address in hexadecimal format in the

End Address (Hex)

field.

6. Select whether to save the file as text, hex (hexadecimal), or binary.

7. If the file format is text, select the number of bytes per line or enter a number in the

Other

field.

8. Click

OK

to save the memory to the specified file.
