1. Introduction
System 500 is used to receive signals
from GPS satellites which are then
processed to obtain a position on the
earth’s surface.
It can be used in many applications,
the main ones being Land Survey,
Stakeout and Hydrographic Survey.
The main components of System 500
are the GPS Antenna and GPS
Receiver. Ancilliary components are
the Terminal, Batteries, PC Cards and
cables.
SKI-Pro, a PC based software is also
used in conjunction with the hardware
listed above for post-processing GPS
data and for downloading coordinates
recorded in the field. Instructions for
using SKI-Pro can be found in the
accompanying printed guides and on-
line help.
