Connecting Peripheral Equipment
This section includes information about:
 Connecting the BioFrac Fraction Collector
 Connecting Column Clamps to the NGC Instrument
 Connecting a Keyboard or Mouse
 Connecting the Air Sensors
 Connecting the SIM to the NGC Instrument
If you do not plan to connect these components to the NGC system, you can skip
this section.
Connecting the BioFrac Fraction Collector
Tip: For information about setting up and using the fraction collector, see the
BioFrac Fraction Collector User Guide.
The BioFrac fraction collector requires the communication adaptor and its cable to
connect to the NGC instrument. ChromLab detects the fraction collector by way of
the communication adaptor.
To connect the BioFrac fraction collector to the NGC instrument
1. Ensure that the NGC instrument and the fraction collector are powered off.
2. Locate the connector port marked INSTRUMENT BUS on the back of the
BioFrac fraction collector.
