Updating NGC Systems
Updating the NGC system is a two-step process:
 Updating ChromLab software on the instrument
 Updating the firmware on the instrument
Between the software and firmware update the NGC instrument automatically
reboots. The instrument reboots following a successful firmware upgrade as well.
To update the NGC system
1. On the ChromLab computer, start ChromLab. ChromLab automatically
connects to the instrument it was last connected to before the software update.
2. A dialog box appears prompting you to update the software on the system.
Click Update System.
Important: The update process can up to 20 minutes. A progress dialog
box appears on the NGC touch screen with information about the time
remaining for the update. Do not shut down the instrument during the
update process.
